Golfing @ Pine Brook

Pine Brook is a private club which is open April through October. Members enjoy four hour rounds with minimal wait in a picturesque, relaxing atmosphere. Currently, Pine Brook has openings available for new members. If you are ready to experience all that Pine Brook has to offer and are interested in becoming a member, please click on our Membership page for more details.

In 2008 Pine Brook was mapped by Sky Golf, the makers of SkyCaddie. Our members have found that using SkyCaddie enables them to accurately measure distances on the golf course, obtaining the same reliable and complete information that touring professionals receive from their caddie.

Pine Brook's History
Designed in 1923 by James Floyd

Pine Brook Golf Club was formed in 1923 as the Sir William Johnson Country Club. The land for the course was the former Simmons 169-acre farm. The founders secured financing for the property by selling bonds. The farm house was converted into a clubhouse and Scottish golf pro James Floyd was hired to design the nine-hole golf course.

In 1937, the Sir William Johnson Country Club was purchased by RHV Realty Corp which consisted of prominent Fulton County residents Julius and Daniel Higier and Morrell Vrooman. The Gloversville Golf Group was formed and the property was leased from the RHV Realty. At the first meeting the name was changed to Pine Brook Golf Club. In 1946 the club was able to purchase the property from RHV for $10,000.

Many changes to the facility have happened over the years, however, the quality of golf and the enthusiasm of the members has continued to remain intact for 88 years.
